Hytest Troponins
Troponin General Information
Latest Troponin News

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death globally. It is estimated that approximately 30% of all deaths are caused by different cardiovascular diseases. Over the years, diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases has gone through a significant evolution. Discovery of troponins generated a paradigm shift in heart attack disease diagnostics and for a long time, troponin has been the gold standard in acute myocardial infarction diagnosis.

At HyTest, we have been studying cardiac troponin I for more than 20 years and published several scientific articles about troponin I in peer reviewed articles. This investment in scientific work has helped us to develop raw materials used by world’s leading diagnostics companies. We have developed and characterized a broad selection of antibodies specific to various epitopes of the troponin I molecule. In 2004, our troponin I-T-C complex was selected by the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) Standardization Subcommittee to be used by assay manufacturers as reference material in troponin I assays.

On this page we compile the latest news of what is happening in the cardiovascular disease field. For more information about our products for cardiovascular disease diagnostics, please visit our website www.hytest.fi.
